On this day: the Iron Lady is born

”If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman.”

On this day in 1925, Margaret Thatcher is born. She held the office of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990. Dubbed ”Iron Lady” by a Soviet columnist, Thatcher was the longest-serving Prime Minister in Britain from 1979 to 1990 and the only woman to hold the office.
