American actor and producer Michael Douglas was born on September 25, 1944. Douglas first significant performance was the role of inspector Steve Keller in the television series The Streets of San Francisco debuted on ABC in 1972. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1988 for portraying the unethical corporate raider Gordon Gekko in the movie Wall Street directed by Oliver Stone.
