A stunning Roman sandal discovered

The leading-edge footwear has been discovered at the Roman fort of Vindolanda located south of Hadrian’s Wall. The sandal, which dates back to the early 3rd century AD, is in a perfect condition. Sonya Galloway spokesperson of Vindolanda says:

“The boot is the modern day equivalent of around a size one, and would have been worn by a child between the ages of eight and ten.”
