The world’s oldest snowshoe

Carbon-dating has revealed that a snowshoe, which was made of birch wood and twine, and was found in the Italian Dolomites near the Austrian border in 2003, was actually made in the late Neolithic age between 3,800 and 3,700 BC. Considering its age , the footwear is regarded as the oldest snowshoe ever discovered in the world.
