The Austrian Oak
The ‘Austrian Oak’ stepped onto the road to becoming one of the best paid stars of the movie industry with the movie “Conan the Barbarian”, released in 1982. In 1984, “Terminator” was an unequivocal success, and with this movie Schwarzenegger, whose name was considered unpronounceable in Anglo-Saxon territories for a long time, became a significant figure in action movies for almost two decades.
From 2003 he stepped onto the stage of politics, and stood at the helm of the most populated state of the USA for eight years – but did not give up acting either. Although the first two stations of his life were full of success, for his activities as a governor he was not commended: in 2011, after having tripled the debt of California, he stepped down.
