Imagine a world where money and private property are abolished, all religions are outlawed, only drab, black clothing fully buttoned way up the throat is allowed to be worn, wearing glasses is banned, along with books, movie theatres and the expression of emotions. Even the minds behind the most depressing anti-utopias would be impressed by this list. However, only a few decades ago, such a world existed; this is how life was in Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge.
