Some interesting fact about…

History of pizza
The very first pizzeria was opened in Naples in 1830. Before this, vendors had sold their pizzas stored in tin boxes balanced on their heads to passers-by.
The very first Pizza Margherita was created by Raffaele Esposito to mark the 1889 visit of Queen Margherita of Savoy to Naples. The chef of Pizzeria Brandi made a pizza with toppings symbolizing the colors of the Italian flag: tomato (red), mozzarella (white) and basil (green).
The pizza, which was initially consumed by Italian immigrants, became the favorite food of the Americans after the Second World War due to U.S. soldiers returning home from Italy.
