Around 150 thousand years ago, the Altamura Man was wandering in a stalactite cave when he slipped and got stuck between rocks. Our unlucky ancestor was possibly injured in the accident and being unable to escape from the trap he starved to death. Last year genetic research found that the poor fellow was possibly a Neanderthal and now experts have done his facial reconstruction.
