On February 27, 1932, British-American actress Elizabeth Taylor was born. Elizabeth Taylor began to pursue her career as a child actress in the 1940s and became one of the most celebrated Hollywood stars in the 1950s. At the height of her success, she was the first actress to be paid one million dollars for a film role (Cleopatra, 1963).
