Mask of King Tut regained its former glory

Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun’s burial maskhas been put on display again at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo after a German-Egyptian expert team finished with the reattachment of the beard that was accidentally knocked off during cleaning last year. Restoration work started in October and in order to avoid the damage of the golden mask experts used wooden tools, spatulas and beeswax to attach the beard to the mask.
