Queen Victoria and Prince Albert

The most perfect couple in the history of the British crown had probably been the queen of the 26 million square kilometer empire, Victoria, and Prince Albert, who stayed away from politics. Although they had been cousins, they first met in their teens at a ball, and after the slightly ugly girl who had been prone to gaining weight had sat on the throne, the engagement also took place. But not in the usual manner: as a simple prince could not ask for the hand of the Queen of the British Empire, the marriage offer had been made by Victoria.
